Our Breastfeeding Journey, Round Two

Hannah's Story
I just finished my 2nd breastfeeding journey and had much more success with this one! This experience really goes to show how every baby really is different and not to give up!
My son was born 6 weeks early and was in the NICU for 1 week, but we made it through. The NICU nurses and lactation consultants were very helpful and helped with his latch and how to keep him awake to eat.
Once we were home he continued to eat well. The peer counselor was so helpful with check ins, tips and tricks! She was also available for questions and help. My peer counselor was so helpful with nursing nutrition, supply questions and any other questions I had for her. It was so nice to be able to text her instead of having to play phone tag. She was able to send helpful graphics too!! This resource is such a blessing and I am so glad I had it, even as an "experienced" mom!
My breastfeeding journey is coming to a close at 12 months, but it was a beautiful journey and I'm so glad I was able to share this with my baby!

My son was also born 6 weeks early and in the NICU. It definitely add some struggle to the breastfeeding journey but look at you! Making it to 12 months! Awesome job!!
