Meet Jaclyn - Peer Counselor

Hey, I’m Jaclyn!

I’m married to my high school sweetheart, love chickens & coffee, and have four
amazing children.

I have almost 8 years of breastfeeding experience among the four of them. I’ve dealt with multiple issues over those years, including a couple of rounds of mastitis, plugged ducts, using a nipple shield, utilizing a Supplemental Nursing System, pumping at work, fixing shallow latch (both by myself and asking for help from a lactation consultant), breastfeeding while pregnant, and more.

I’ve been on the receiving end of being helped by a Peer Counselor, and I know how
valuable it can be to feel heard and encouraged. I wanted to use these experiences to help
other moms overcome obstacles that can arise throughout their breastfeeding journeys.

My children are still very young, so my hobbies include reading (usually the same
paragraph on repeat…), drinking coffee before it gets too cold, and hanging out with my family.
My oldest plays soccer year-round with many indoor tournaments, my second oldest takes
piano lessons, and the younger two keep me on my toes by climbing the furniture. We enjoy
doing family 5Ks, helping my husband with his business, and having fun on the beautiful
Missouri River.

I’m excited to walk alongside other moms and help educate and support you!
