Hi, I am Alicia!
I am available to work with participants over Zoom or in person at the Sioux Falls WIC office. I offer prenatal breastfeeding classes to participants twice a month and a support group once a month via Zoom. I also provide an educational presentation on a different topic related to breastfeeding every month at our monthly Peer Counselor meetings.
I have been an RN since 1998 and an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) since 2011. I have previous hospital experience working in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, teaching Childbirth and Breastfeeding Classes, and leading new mom and baby support groups for many years. I joined the program in February 2021.
I breastfed for 13 and 15 months with my children, and they are now teenagers! One is in college, and the other one is in high school. My hobbies include walking my dog, reading, and learning to play guitar.
I love helping moms and babies achieve their breastfeeding goals!
